Performance Lab Technologist – Jubail, KSA

An exciting opportunity is available in a large Industrial Group for a Performance Lab Technologist based in Jubail, Saudi Arabia and will report to Head of performance Lab directly.

About the role:
In this role, you will be responsible to:

• Operating Film and Fiber testing equipment i.e. Tensile, Tear, Drop, COF, Permeation, Fineness, tenacity, elongationc, crimp properties.
• Planning and implementation of analytical strategy in Fiber and Film laboratories.
• Organizing multiple assignments based on priority.
• Provide solutions for manufacturing plants, customers and new product development using various analytical techniques.
• Structure-properties and performance relationship for the polymer. Work in cross-functional team as well as interface of multiple analytical technique areas (chromatography, Thermal, spectroscopy…) .
• Development and validation of new analytical methods.
• Maintain the hardware and laboratory as per the quality systems (ISO9001/17025).
• Provide training to the subordinates.

About You:
You will ideally be required to have the following requirements. Please note that Education and work experience must be in Polymer Science, Textile Technology, Fiber Science &Technology or relevant fields:

• Ph.D. (no experience), OR
• Master + 6 years’ experience OR
• Bachelor +8 years’ experience.
• Work experience should be in the Petrochemical industry, R&D or Manufacturing roles.
• Good experience with product performance testing techniques i.e. Film, Fiber specific (Tensile, Tear, Drop, COF, Permeation, Fineness, tenacity, elongation).
• Hands on experience and interpretation of Fiber and Film characterization equipment and other analytical results.
• Experience in ISO: 17025, ISO: 9001/18001/14001 systems. (preferred)
• Experience in report writing and safety practices.
• Familiar in the development and validation of new analytical methods.
